Episode 9 : Convergence Suicide Squad 1

Welcome back Squadmates!

Well here is the newest episode of Task Force X Episode 9: Convergence: Suicide Squad 1

Once again we're skipping the Character Profile this episode, while I interrupt our regularly scheduled program, for this special episode of Task Force X.

Currently DC is having a 2 month special event called Convergence.  While they're making their cross country move, they are using this as filler....

This episode I briefly cover Convergence (and I do mean briefly) and I do a review of the first issue of the Suicide Squad Convergence issue.

Credits for this issue are:

Writer: Frank Tieri
Art: Tom Mandrake
Colors: Sian Mandraks
Lettering: Dave Sharpe
Cover by: John Paul Leon
Editor: Marie Javins
This issue cost: $3.99
Cover Date: June 2015
Was on sale: April 15, 2015

Title: When Kingdom Falls Part 1

Issue summary:
Story starts with Amanda Waller laying bleeding out in front of Kingdom Come GL.  She tells a third party that she should have known better than to trust him.  He then shots her.
Toyman is trying to hire Deadshot and Boomerang to kill Superman.  Boomer mentions that there are more of them now (Supermen).
As they’re talking a booming voice from outside starts talking.  It says that each “domain” has to battle each other.
General Lane tells Amanda to assemble a Squad to fight the heroes from Kingdom Come.
Carol Ferris aka Star Sapphire tells The Wall she’ll go with them and help against the GL.
We’re introduced to the Squad: Bane, Black Manta, Deathstroke, plus the old stand bys: Deadshot, Boomer, Poison Ivy, Count Vertigo, and Bronze Tiger.  Plus Cyborg Superman.
Then we see Barbara talking to an unknown party for their assistance.

The last page shows the mystery man is none other than Lex Luthor.
 To Be Continued.
Also, this episode, Suicide Notes, where I go over a couple of Facebook likes and comments.
